Gymnastic Class Descriptions: |
| 45 MINUTE CLASSES |
| Parent & Me
– Ages 1½ to 2½. This class begins to develop your child’s
coordination by building skills together with the assistance of Mom,
Dad or Grammy etc. |
| Tumble Tots
– Ages 2½ to 3½. This class incorporates coordination, strength,
flexibility and balance through a variety of gymnastic activities.
Activities include obstacle courses, parachute, creative
movement and trampoline.
Mom, Dad or Grammy assist in this class. |
| Preschool
- Ages 3½ to 5. Children enter this class without a parent.
The focus is on building physical and social skills.
Basic gymnastic progressions are introduced along with motor
and cognitive awareness.
Activities include obstacle courses, parachute, creative
movement and trampoline. |
| ONE HOUR CLASSES |
| Stars
- Ages 5-6. This class is based on apparatus skill
building. These
children will learn basic gymnastic progressions and will
continuously be challenged with new skills. All children will
progress at different rates. |
| Mighty Mites
- This class is for the advanced 5-6 year old.
The class is more intensive and children are evaluated and
placed in this class by invitation only. |
| Girls/Boys
Beginners - Ages 7-16. These classes are for
beginners who are grouped by age and ability.
This class will be introduced to basic skills on all Olympic
events. Strength and
flexibility stations are also included. |
| Intermediate
- This class is for the advanced child aged 7+.
The skill level of this class is a greater challenge for
those students who have acquired all of the beginner class
progressions. A skills
test is given prior to invitation to join this class. |
| Tumbling for
Cheerleaders – Offering all aspects of gymnastic
related cheerleading skills for beginner through advanced tumblers. |
| Teen Gym
- This class is a beginner class for ages 12 and up. |
